Ferwe is the user ID for the site administrator, Jefferson Wilson.
I've been playing roleplaying games since 1978. I started with AD&D2, but have played a wide variety of system then. GURPS has long been my favorite system for many reasons including it's general flexibility and potential for cross-genre play. I even have a playtest credit (for GURPS Powers), and participated in the GURPS Thaumatology playtest but didn't get a credit. (Note that I'm not the other Jeff Wilson whose name is in so many GURPS books.)
N'Ferra was originally created with two ideas in mind. First, to create an interesting and realistic setting where just about anything goes. Second to explore the idea of what a newly created god would do who found a completely fresh domain. Ferwe was originally created using the Synnibarr game, but has been reinterpreted many times along GURPS and The Primal Order lines.
N'Ferra has only grown since it's inception. Of all the worlds I've created it's the one I'm proudest of, and is the setting for my single publishable story.
